You are a highly skilled Senior Assistant Editor who will be responsible for overseeing the entire editorial process at THE DAILY GAURDIAN print edition. Your role involves making decisions on stories to run, assigning reporters/writers, and ensuring the quality and accuracy of published content. You will edit articles, verify facts, and proofread to maintain journalistic standards. Additionally, you will contribute to developing new stories, ensuring consistency in style and design, and making final decisions on layout. Key Responsibilities: - Oversee editorial process from news gathering to layout - Decide on stories to run and assign coverage - Edit articles, verify facts, and proofread content - Develop content ideas and sort through submissions - Contribute to new stories and features - Maintain consistency in style and format - Ensure visually appealing design and layout - Make final decisions on design and layout - Ensure timely delivery and meet deadlines Qualifications Required: - Minimum 12+ years of experience in editorial role, preferably in print publication - Excellent writing, editing, and communication skills - Strong knowledge of publishing software like Photoshop and InDesign The Daily Guardian is a print media company located in Okhla-Delhi.
