Job Description

3-5 years of hands-on experience with SQL Server administration, migration, and performance tuning. Plan and execute SQL Server migrations from AWS and on-prem environments to on-prem data centres. Strong expertise in SQL Server 2008,2008R2,2012 or later. Experience migrating databases from AWS RDS/EC2 SQL Server and on-prem to on-prem environments. Proficiency in migration techniques: backup/restore, log shipping, transactional replication, and Always On Availability Groups. Solid understanding of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) and their impact on database architecture. Automate migration tasks using PowerShell, T-SQL scripts, and third-party tools where applicable. Familiarity with monitoring tools like SQL Profiler, Extended Events, and Performance Monitor.
