EY's GDS Tax Technology team's mission is to develop, implement, and integrate technology solutions that better serve our clients and engagement teams. As a member of EY's core Tax practice, you'll develop a deep tax technical knowledge along with outstanding database, data analytics, and programming skills. The ever-increasing regulations require tax departments to gather, organize, and analyze more data than ever before. EY's GDS Tax Technology team members work side-by-side with partners, clients, and tax technical subject matter experts to develop and incorporate technology solutions that enhance value, improve efficiencies, and enable clients with disruptive and market-leading tools supporting tax. We are currently seeking a Data Engineer - Staff to join our Tax Technology practice in India. The key responsibilities include strong database programming/backend development experience using SQL Server/Azure SQL, writing complex queries, stored procedures, views, triggers, cursors, and UDFs. You should have strong verbal and written communication skills and between 1.5 and 3 years of experience in SQL/Azure SQL Database Server programming and Azure Data Factory. Experience with the Azure Data Platform (Azure Data factory/ Databricks) is an added advantage. The ability to effectively communicate with other team members and stakeholders is essential. The qualification required includes strong verbal and written communication skills, the ability to work as an individual contributor, and experience on Azure Data Factory V2, Azure Synapse, or Azure Databricks.
