Your role will involve: - Performing routine database backups, restores, and recovery procedures - Troubleshooting and resolving database performance issues using tools like SQL Profiler, Extended Events, and DMVs - Implementing and maintaining database security including roles, permissions, and encryption - Assisting in database deployments, patching, and upgrades - Designing and implementing high availability (HA) and disaster recovery (DR) solutions such as AlwaysOn, Log Shipping, Replication, and Clustering. **Key Responsibilities:** - Monitor and maintain SQL Server databases (2012 and above) - Perform routine database backups, restores, and recovery procedures - Troubleshoot and resolve database performance issues using tools like SQL Profiler, Extended Events, and DMVs - Implement and maintain database security (roles, permissions, encryption) - Assist in database deployments, patching, and upgrades - Design and implement high availability (HA) and disaster recovery (DR) solutions (AlwaysOn, Log Shipping, Replication, Clustering) **Qualifications Required:** - 4 - 12 years of experience as a SQL Database Administrator - Strong knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server (2012/2019/2022) - Proficiency in T-SQL, indexing strategies, and query optimization - Understanding of database backup strategies and recovery models - Familiarity with monitoring tools such as Redgate, SolarWinds, SentryOne Capgemini is a global business and technology transformation partner, helping organizations to accelerate their dual transition to a digital and sustainable world, while creating tangible impact for enterprises and society.
