SQA Mechanical Engineer

Role Overview: As a member of the Supplier Quality team at Siemens Gamesa in Nellore, Andhra Pradesh, your day will begin with team meetings to discuss projects and supplier performance. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment of supplier processes with design and customer requirements. Your role will involve conducting supplier audits, analyzing root causes, and creating action plans to maintain quality standards for new product launches. By the end of the day, you will document inspection results and prepare reports to drive improvement efforts. Key Responsibilities: - Perform audits to validate suppliers and support advanced product quality planning (APQP). - Collaborate with Engineering teams to define process parameters and ensure supplier process capability. - Lead the supplier approval process, evaluating manufacturing capabilities and environmental risks. - Assist in introducing new products by ensuring suppliers meet quality standards. - Conduct investigations into supplier quality issues, identify root causes, and implement corrective measures. - Promote continuous improvement techniques such as Lean, Six-Sigma, and PFMEA. Qualifications Required: - Minimum 10-12 years of experience in Quality. - Strong knowledge of APQP, PPAP, FMEA, and measurement techniques. - Experience with ISO45001/OHSAS18001 and ISO14001 standards. - Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently. - Proven ability to train and lead teams in a dynamic environment. - Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills. - Proactive approach to personal continuous training and development.
