Title: Salesforce Networking and Akamai administrator Location: Bangalore / Hybrid (3 days onsite) Work hours : 2 PM - 10:30 pm IST The resource will be responsible for managing, configuring, and optimizing Salesforce environments while ensuring seamless integration with enterprise systems, cloud platforms, and networking infrastructure. The role requires a mix of Salesforce expertise, API and middleware integration knowledge, and strong networking skills to ensure reliable connectivity across business applications. Need to administer, configure, and maintain Akamai CDN, WAF, and security solutions (Kona Site Defender, Bot Manager, Edge DNS, Adaptive Acceleration, etc.). Key Responsibilities on networking Configure, customize, and maintain Salesforce (Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Experience Cloud, etc.) Design and implement system integrations between Salesforce and external applications using APIs, middleware and networking protocols. Ensure secure data exchange and connectivity between Salesforce and on-premises/cloud systems. Manage user access, roles, and security models within Salesforce. Knowledge of networking fundamentals (VPN, firewalls, DNS, routing, SSL/TLS, load balancing). Monitor network performance and troubleshoot integration or connectivity issues related to Salesforce environments. Collaborate with IT networking teams to optimize performance and ensure compliance with enterprise security standards. Support Salesforce upgrades, releases, and patching, ensuring minimal disruption to integrated systems. Key Responsibilities on Akamai Manage content delivery configurations (edge servers, caching rules, traffic routing, origin configuration). Implement and maintain Akamai Property Manager (PM) configurations for applications and websites. Configure and optimize Akamai EdgeWorkers, Cloudlets, and API Gateway for advanced use cases. Monitor performance, availability, and security metrics using Akamai Control Center and reporting tools. Troubleshoot and resolve CDN, caching, and traffic-routing issues. Perform certificate management (SSL/TLS) and ensure compliance with security best practices. Participate in incident response and mitigation of DDoS, bot attacks, and web application threats.
