Designation: Manager-Manufacturing (Sofa & Upholstered Furniture) Location: Meerut Relevant Experience: 4+ Years Salary: Best in Industry Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Manufacturing Manager to oversee the production of our sofa and upholstered furniture lines. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing daily operations on the production floor, ensuring quality standards, optimizing efficiency, and coordinating cross-functional teams, including procurement, design, and logistics. Key Responsibilities: • Oversee the day-to-day production of sofa and upholstered furniture to meet quality, cost, and delivery targets. • Plan and schedule production activities in coordination with demand forecasts and inventory levels. • Manage and lead a team of supervisors, upholsterers, carpenters, tailors, and quality inspectors. • Ensure the efficient use of materials, equipment, and manpower to achieve production goals. • Monitor quality control processes and implement corrective actions to reduce defects and rework. • Collaborate with design, engineering, procurement, and sales teams for new product development and process improvements. • Implement and enforce health & safety and compliance regulations on the shop floor. • Drive lean manufacturing practices and continuous improvement initiatives (5S). • Manage vendor/supplier relationships relevant to the manufacturing process. • Recommend and assist in capital equipment purchases and maintenance planning. Qualifications & Skills: • Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Management, Furniture Design, or related field. A diploma or equivalent experience is acceptable for senior trades-based candidates. • …. years of experience in furniture manufacturing, with at least …. years in a managerial role, preferably in upholstered or sofa production. • Strong knowledge of sofa production processes, including frame making, cutting, sewing, foaming, and upholstery. • Familiarity with manufacturing ERP systems, production scheduling software, and quality management systems. • Excellent leadership, team management, and communication skills. • Ability to analyse data and optimize processes for efficiency and cost control. • Knowledge of materials (wood, foam, fabric, leather, etc.) used in sofa manufacturing. • Strong problem-solving and organizational skills. • Familiarity with lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, or similar methodologies is an advantage.

Key Responsibilities: Deliver Revenue/Volume goals for the Institutional Channel Maintain an aggressive pipeline of possible acquisitions and prospects and ensure conversion as per plan. Meet profitability objectives for their portfolio of customers. Build strong business relationships with all key stakeholders’ customers, including buying teams, supply chain, finance, and senior management. Deploy customer management tools like Scorecards, Joint Business Plans, and update the same on a monthly & quarterly basis, respectively. Develop and deploy joint marketing calendars with strategic customers. Constantly seek to expand the portfolio of products for all customers. Continuously build and develop the team based on the growth of the business. Work with Supply Chain to deliver good service levels.
