Job Title: Spray Painter

Job Summary:

The Spray Painter is responsible for preparing surfaces, mixing paints, and applying coats of paint or other finishes using spray equipment to achieve a smooth and high-quality finish on surfaces such as metal, wood, or machinery parts.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, masking, and priming.
• Mix and match paint colors according to required specifications.
• Apply primer, paint, varnish, enamel, or other coatings using spray guns and related tools.
• Ensure even coating, appropriate thickness, and smooth finishing without drips or blemishes.
• Maintain spray guns, compressors, and painting equipment in good working condition.
• Inspect finished surfaces for quality and make necessary touch-ups.
• Follow all safety protocols related to painting, ventilation, and use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Keep records of materials used and work completed.
• Dispose of hazardous materials safely as per company and government guidelines.
• Work collaboratively with team members to meet daily production targets.

Skills & Competencies:

• Knowledge of various paints, thinners, and finishes.
• Understanding of spray-painting techniques and surface preparation.
• Ability to operate spray guns, compressors, and painting booths.
• Attention to detail and strong sense of quality control.
• Basic mechanical skills and equipment handling knowledge.
• Awareness of safety standards and environmental regulations.

Qualification & Experience:

• Qualification: ITI / Diploma in Painter, Automotive Painting, or relevant trade.
• Experience: 2–5 years of experience in industrial, automotive, or fabrication painting.
• Preferred: Experience in epoxy, PU, or powder coating applications.

Work Environment:

• Workshop or industrial setting.
• Requires wearing PPE (mask, gloves, safety suit).
• Exposure to paint fumes, dust, and chemicals.

Salary Range:

As per industry standards and experience.
