Specialist, Software Engineering (Lead Java)

As a Specialist, Software Engineering at BetaNXT, you will be responsible for architecting, implementing, and supporting enterprise-level software solutions. You will work closely with both technical and non-technical staff to analyze and understand business requirements. Your role will involve strong skills in architecting Java software solutions, data analysis, query writing, and stored procedure development. **Key Responsibilities:** - Produce functional and design specifications from provided business requirements - Assist business analysts in identifying and documenting software requirements - Lead coding of new software applications based on provided requirements - Develop and present technical implementation plans and demonstrate working code in sprint reviews - Troubleshoot and resolve production software issues - Analyze applications, provide solutions for performance issues, and solve complex problems - Provide regular project status reports for management - Support the QA department during internal and external product testing - Conduct code reviews of software produced by other team members - Mentor new and existing team developers in system design and development best practices **Qualifications Required:** - 9+ years of Spring/J2EE application development experience (Spring Framework, Servlets, JDBC) - 4+ years of relational database experience, developing queries and stored procedures (Preferably MSSQL/TSQL) - Experience in web technologies including HTML, MaterialIU, JavaScript, CSS, AJAX, REST (Preferably ReactJS) - Experience managing and troubleshooting applications in AWS with an understanding of AWS-native technologies: EC2, auto-scaling groups, ECS, CloudFormation, lambda, etc. - Proven ability to troubleshoot software applications,
