Job Responsibilities: Team BOM: Responsible for release of regular BOMs for MRP run Developing relatively simple designs (up to medium complexity) Ensure systematic and timely updating of 2d drawings & 3d models, uploading BOM in ERP, etc. Estimating lead time and costing for new sales query for straightforward designs. Implementation of DFMA Implementation of GD & T Cost optimization by FEA approach Design (BOM) will make and manage their SOP’s 9. Provide design inputs and guidance to junior engineers for drafting and detailing. 10. Ensure that all design activities comply with SOPs and checklists. 11. Contribute to redefining SOPs and checklists as needed. 12. Perform VAVE for existing products to optimize cost and enhance product performance. 13. Work on Design Modification Requests (DMRs) raised by other cross-functional departments and provide optimized solutions. Education: B.E- Mechanical Engineering or Equivalent Experience 3-5 years in preferably Machine building/Heavy Equipment Technical Profile: · Proficiency in ERP, SolidWorks & any 2D CAD software. · Experienced in Material and Manufacturing process selection. · Good in Machine structure design, Structural analysis, and stress calculations. · Expertise in mechanical design calculation and selection of bought out components. · Experience in VAVE & DFMA. · Expertise in ISO/ASME Standards and Geometric tolerances. Job Description: 1. PLC Programming & Commissioning · Develop and modify programs in Siemens TIA Portal using LAD, FBD, and SCL . · Configure and troubleshoot Siemens servo drives, VFDs, HMI (TP700/1200), and other related hardware . · Integrate sensors, encoders, and field devices. 2. Onsite Installation & Commissioning · To do installation and commissioning, servicing of machines at Customer site (Domestic/International). · Collaborate with mechanical, electrical and other teams involved during setup and trial runs. 3. Service Support · Attend breakdowns and resolve machine operational and functional issues. · Provide remote assistance and technical support to customers. · Conduct preventive maintenance and calibration checks. 4. Documentation · Responsible for the maintaining commissioning, testing and Service records and documents in the server including machine program, machine testing and trial records, daily progress report related to testing/ commissioning. · Update PLC program backups and HMI configurations after each job. 5. Customer Handling · Hands on experience in customer satisfaction index (feedback and analysis) and retrofitting (potential customers). · Propose and establish AMC with Key Customers. · Ensure professional communication and timely resolution of complaints via phone calls, online remote support or onsite visit. 6. Team Collaboration · Coordinate with the design, production, purchase and R&D team to improve machine functionality and performance. · Provide feedback on field issues for continuous improvement. Skills Required: Technical Skills: Proficient in Siemens TIA Portal (S7-1200/1500) – SCL preferred. Hands-on experience with Siemens servo drives (Samanic's S120/V90) and VFDs (G120) . Knowledge of industrial communication protocols: PROFINET, PROFIBUS, Modbus . Understanding of electrical schematics, PLC panel wiring, and safety circuits. Basic knowledge of machine control loops , tension control, and position control. Familiarity with SCADA/HMI screens (WinCC Comfort/Advanced). Soft Skills: Willingness to travel (up to 15–20 days/month if required). Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking. Extrovert, with good communication interpersonal and presentation skills. Customer-centric and calm under pressure. Preferred Skills: Candidates with 5-6 years of experience in commissioning and testing of machines (Both Automation & Mechanical side) of machines related to the Flexible Packaging and Converting Industry such as Rotogravure Printing, Lamination and Slitting Rewinding machines will be given first preference. Candidates who have had experience in web handling and ancillary equipment , who wish to progress into the field of machines are also welcome to apply. Ability to collate data and report systematically to management. Good knowledge of MS Office and PPT. Passionate about traveling and networking. Prior experience of working in ERP environment is desirable, though not compulsory. Exposure to motion control and decentralized IOs . Knowledge of electrical standards and safety compliance . Exposure to VFD braking resistors , encoders, load cells, ultrasonic sensors is a plus. Qualification B.E. / B. Tech in Electronics, Electrical, Instrumentation, or Mechatronics .
