Job Description for Import- Export Executive Location: Mumbai, India Position Overview The Export-Import Executive is responsible for managing and overseeing all aspects of international trade operations for the organisation. This role ensures smooth coordination between suppliers, clients, shipping companies, customs authorities, and internal teams to facilitate timely and compliant import and export of goods. The ideal candidate should possess strong knowledge of export-import regulations, documentation procedures, and logistics, with a keen eye for detail and the ability to work under tight deadlines. Key Responsibilities · Liaise with international suppliers, buyers, freight forwarders, and customs agents to ensure seamless execution of export and import transactions. · Prepare and verify all relevant shipping and customs documentation (invoices, packing lists, bills of lading, certificates of origin,CEPA,certificate of conformity, etc.) as per Indian and international trade requirements. · Coordinate with logistics partners to arrange for transportation, warehousing, and timely delivery of goods. · Ensure compliance with statutory laws and regulations under DGFT, Customs, GST, and other relevant authorities. · Track and monitor shipments, update stakeholders on status, and proactively resolve issues or delays. · Handle applications for import/export licences,RODTEP, letters of credit, and other relevant permits. · Co-ordination with bank and making relevant documentation for opening of PCFC,PC,Import & Export Remittances, application of BRC, Custom duty payment, etc · Negotiate freight rates and service contracts with shipping lines and logistics providers. · Maintain accurate records of all shipments, costs, and correspondence for audit and reporting purposes. · Keep abreast of international market trends, tariff changes, and trade agreements that may affect import/export operations. · Provide regular reports to management regarding shipment status, costs, and compliance. Qualifications & Skills · Bachelor’s degree in International Business, Commerce, Logistics, or related field. · 2–5 years of relevant experience in export-import operations, preferably in Mumbai or similar Indian metro cities. · Strong knowledge of Indian and international trade regulations, INCOTERMS, and customs procedures. · Proficiency in MS Office and export-import documentation software. · Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills. · Attention to detail and strong organisational abilities. · Ability to work independently and as part of a team. · Fluency in English and Hindi; knowledge of Marathi is an added advantage. Remuneration Salary will be commensurate with experience and industry standards, typically ranging from ₹3 lakh to ₹6 lakh per annum. Additional performance-based incentives may be offered. Location & Working Hours The position is based in Mumbai, Maharashtra. Standard working hours are 9:30 am to 6:30 pm, Monday to Saturday. Some flexibility may be required to coordinate with international clients and partners in different time zones. Job Description Senior Accountant Position Overview The Senior Accountant is an essential part of the finance team, responsible for overseeing day-to-day accounting activities, ensuring precision in financial reporting, and supporting strategic financial initiatives. This role demands strong analytical skills, comprehensive knowledge of accounting principles, and the ability to collaborate effectively across departments to advance organisational goals. Key Responsibilities · Prepare, review, and analyse financial statements in compliance with Indian Accounting Standards (Ind AS) and relevant statutory requirements. · Manage month-end and year-end closing processes, including journal entries, reconciliations, and adjustments. · Oversee accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely processing and resolution of discrepancies. · Coordinate and support internal and external audits, ensuring compliance with regulatory and tax requirements. · Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis to support management decision-making. · Maintain and enhance internal controls and accounting procedures for robust financial integrity. · Provide guidance, mentorship, and training to junior accounting staff as needed. · Prepare and file GST, TDS, and other statutory returns in line with Indian laws. · Liaise with banks, auditors, vendors, and other relevant stakeholders as necessary. · Support the implementation of new financial systems, processes, and best practices. · Handle import-export accounting operations up to finalisation, ensuring full compliance with applicable regulations and accurate documentation. Qualifications and Skills · Chartered Accountant (CA), Cost and Management Accountant (CMA), or equivalent qualification preferred. · Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related field. · Minimum 5–7 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in a similar industry. · Thorough knowledge of Indian Accounting Standards (Ind AS), Companies Act, Income Tax Act, GST, and import-export regulations. · Conversant with Tally accounting software, with hands-on experience in managing all accounting operations within the platform. · Demonstrated experience in import-export accounting up to the stage of account finalisation. · Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organisational skills. · Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with fluency in English and at least one regional language preferred. · High level of integrity, professionalism, and an eye for detail. · Ability to work both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced setting. Reporting Structure The Senior Accountant will report directly to the Finance Manager or Head of Finance and may supervise a team comprising junior accountants or finance assistants. Location and Working Hours This position is based in the company’s Mumbai office. Standard working hours are 10:00 am to 7:00 pm, Monday to Saturday, with occasional extended hours during financial closing periods.
