Job Description: As a Team Lead for the Indirect Sourcing Category at News Corp Global Sourcing Organization, your primary objective is to unlock value for News Corp and its business units by ensuring speed, efficiency, and security in the procurement process. Collaborating closely with stakeholders, suppliers, and vendors, you will execute sourcing strategies specific to the facilities and operations category, serving as a specialist in this area. Your responsibilities will include developing RfX, analyzing spend across sub-categories, tracking category performance metrics, optimizing output, and identifying areas for waste reduction and continuous improvement. You will build strong relationships with internal business partners, provide guidance on procurement strategies, and drive change management initiatives to enhance sourcing practices within designated business units. In addition, you will play a key role in vendor management by supporting the evaluation, negotiation, selection, and qualification of vendors. You will also be involved in negotiating contracts with selected suppliers, managing SOWs, and partnering with the legal department as needed. The ideal candidate for this role should hold a Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) with at least 5 years of global sourcing experience in facilities, logistics, and operations category. Additionally, a minimum of 2-3 years of people management leadership experience and sourcing transformation experience is required. Certification in Procurement (e.g., CPSM or CSCP) is preferred. To succeed in this role, you should possess strong analytical, communication, negotiation, and project management skills. You must be adept at fact-based decision-making, market analysis, and contract drafting. Experience in working within a large, global organization and collaborating across business units is essential.
