Senior Software Engineer Job summary: We seek a Senior Software Engineer who designs and implements new software systems and features. They modify and maintain existing systems for adaptation to technology and business changes. The Senior Software Engineer leads junior engineers and developers. They collaborate with vendors, technical delivery teams, IT management and vendors to ensure the successful implementation, design and development of technology-based solutions. We expect the engineer to implement software changes, release management processes and ensure adherence to SDLC. Duties Develop high-quality software design and architecture Review and debug codes Ensure software is up to date with the latest technology Perform validation and verification testing Document the development phase and monitor systems Identify and execute various tasks in the SDLC process Design assignments with web services Determine the cause of complex software issues and develop practical, efficient and permanent technical solutions Remain current with new technologies and vendor packages Evaluate and make changes in the software system as per the client's requirement Skills and qualifications Critical thinking, problem-solving and analytical skills Decision-making and ability to make an independent judgement Strong foundation in software development Collaboration skills for working in a team Five to seven years of experience in a software engineering role Bachelor of Technology or Bachelor of Engineering in Computer Science, Software Engineering and related areas Experience working with various programming languages, operating systems and system monitoring tools Organisation and time development skills
