The Sound Engineer role involves setting up, operating, and maintaining audio equipment to ensure high-quality sound production for live events, recordings, and broadcasts. Your responsibilities will include setting up microphones, speakers, mixers, and other audio gear, conducting sound checks, and adjusting audio levels for clear sound. Additionally, you will operate the soundboard during live events, balance audio levels, apply effects, and make real-time adjustments as necessary to maintain sound quality. You will be responsible for recording performances, voiceovers, and other audio content, as well as editing audio files using professional software to achieve the desired sound. Troubleshooting technical issues quickly during events or recording sessions, performing regular maintenance on sound equipment, and collaborating with performers, directors, and technical staff to meet sound requirements are also key aspects of this role. Providing advice on audio best practices will be part of your collaboration with the production teams. The ideal candidate for this position should have a degree in Audio Engineering, Sound Design, or a related field, with at least 5 years of experience in live sound, recording, or broadcasting. Proficiency with audio equipment and editing software, a strong understanding of sound theory and acoustics, as well as problem-solving skills and attention to detail are essential qualifications. This is a full-time, permanent position with benefits including health insurance and Provident Fund.
