Role Overview We are seeking a qualified and passionate Occupational Therapist who has a strong understanding of working with children, adolescents, and young adults — especially those with developmental delays, sensory processing issues, learning difficulties, or behavioral challenges. The therapist will work closely with other professionals in a collaborative setting to deliver therapy plans that support sensory integration, motor coordination, self-care, cognitive function, and emotional regulation. Key Responsibilities Assessment & Diagnosis : Conduct detailed evaluations of fine motor, gross motor, sensory, and perceptual-motor skills. Develop individualized therapy plans based on assessments and ongoing feedback. Maintain standardized documentation and therapy goals for each client. Therapy & Intervention : Implement developmentally appropriate, evidence-based occupational therapy interventions. Design engaging activities that aid skill development in motor function, ADLs (Activities of Daily Living), play, self-regulation, etc. Conduct 1:1 or small group therapy sessions, both in-person and online, depending on client needs. Parent & School Collaboration : Engage with parents to educate them about therapy goals and at-home routines. Coordinate with educators and school counsellors for IEP (Individualised Education Plan) support. Provide strategies to support children in school, home, and community environments. Cross-Team Collaboration : Work alongside clinical psychologists, speech therapists, special educators, and counsellors for integrated care. Participate in team meetings and contribute to multidisciplinary planning. Co-create therapy material and workshop content if needed. Progress Monitoring & Reporting : Track development milestones and therapy outcomes. Submit regular reports and suggest program adjustments based on progress. Maintain confidentiality and ethical standards in accordance with Indian professional guidelines. Ideal Candidate Profile Education & Certification : Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy (BOT/MOT) from a recognized Indian university. Experience : 1–4 years of hands-on experience in pediatric/child-focused occupational therapy. Exposure to working with neurodivergent children (ASD, ADHD, Down Syndrome, etc.) is essential. Skills & Competencies Excellent observational, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills. Compassionate communicator who can put both children and parents at ease. Familiar with sensory integration techniques, developmental delays, handwriting issues, and behavioral intervention. Technology Readiness : Comfortable with digital documentation and hybrid therapy models (Zoom/Google Meet for tele-therapy). Basic familiarity with therapy tools, online resources, and parent communication apps. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience working with children and adolescents who may have speech delays, articulation disorders, language impairments, stammering/stuttering, or neurodevelopmental challenges such as Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) or ADHD. Key Responsibilities Assessment & Diagnosis: Conduct comprehensive speech, language, and communication assessments. Identify and diagnose a variety of speech, language, and fluency disorders. Documentation & Reporting: Maintain accurate therapy notes, progress tracking, and review reports. Ensure ethical and confidential handling of all client data and therapy outcomes. Ideal Candidate Profile Education & Certification: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology (BASLP/MASLP) from a recognized Indian university. Registration with the Rehabilitation Council of India (RCI) is preferred. Experience: 1–4 years of relevant clinical or school-based experience in speech therapy, especially with children and adolescents. Exposure to working with children having ASD, ADHD, Down Syndrome, speech delays, or language-based learning disabilities. Skills & Competencies: Strong command over both English and Hindi for bilingual therapy delivery. Empathetic, creative, and engaging approach to child therapy.
