Sonic ESB DBA

As a Sonic ESB Administrator, you will be responsible for managing and maintaining the Sonic Enterprise Service Bus (ESB) environment. Your key responsibilities will include: - Configuring and managing the ESB environment - Setting up brokers, containers, and connections - Managing user access and security settings - Managing the lifecycle of services within the ESB, including deployment, monitoring, and undeployment - Managing service definitions and process definitions You will also be responsible for: - Monitoring the performance of the ESB environment - Identifying bottlenecks and optimizing performance by tuning parameters and analyzing logs - Diagnosing and resolving issues within the ESB environment - Collaborating with developers and stakeholders to ensure smooth operation - Implementing and maintaining security policies within the ESB As a Sonic ESB Administrator, you will manage the integration of the ESB with other systems, particularly OpenEdge applications, using the OpenEdge Adapter for Sonic ESB. Your responsibilities will also include: - Creating, managing, and monitoring message queues, channels, brokers, containers, and other relevant objects within the messaging system - Working with tools such as Sonic Management Console and ESB Admin Tool to carry out tasks efficiently - Configuring new service definitions for web services exposed by OpenEdge applications - Troubleshooting performance issues with specific services - Monitoring the health of ESB brokers and containers - Deploying new versions of process definitions - Handling backup and recovery processes Your ability to work on any shift and your experience in Sonic and Progress Database administration will be valuable assets in fulfilling these responsibilities effectively.,
