Role & responsibilities Assisting with the preparation of UK client accounts, bookkeeping, and financial records. Supporting with UK VAT returns, bank reconciliations, and payroll processing. Inputting and maintaining accurate accounting data using Xero, TaxCalc, and Payroll Manager. Helping with administrative tasks related to client accounts. Supporting senior accountants with ad-hoc tasks and projects. Ensuring compliance with relevant UK accounting standards and regulations. Preferred candidate profile We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Accounts Assistant to join our Gandhinagar office. This role is ideal for a commerce graduate, fresher, or someone currently pursuing a professional accountancy qualification, looking to gain hands-on experience in international accountancy. Full training and study support may be provided. Strong numerical and analytical skills with attention to detail. A sound understanding of accounting principles is essential. Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other MS Office applications. Eagerness to learn and develop within a professional accountancy practice. Good communication and interpersonal skills. Fluency in English (spoken and written) preferred. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team. Qualifications & Experience Bachelors degree in Commerce (B.Com) or Master’s in Commerce (M.Com), or currently pursuing CA / CMA / CS / MBA (Finance) — preferred but not essential. Experience in an accountancy or finance role is preferred, but not necessary. A positive attitude and willingness to learn are more important than experience.
