Job Summary The incumbent will play a lead technical and advisory role within the consulting and engineering division, providing expertise in mineral processing plant design, optimization, and operational performance improvement. With extensive cross-functional experience in operations, process design, and product marketing, the candidate will support clients in developing efficient, compliant, and commercially viable mineral beneficiation solutions. The position demands a blend of technical depth, analytical skills, and client engagement capability to deliver high-value consulting outcomes across multiple mineral sectors, including rare earths, base metals, and industrial minerals. Key Responsibilities Provide technical consulting and process engineering support across the full project lifecycle — from concept development, feasibility studies, and detailed engineering to commissioning and performance evaluation. Conduct process audits, plant evaluations, and diagnostic studies to identify inefficiencies, bottlenecks, and opportunities for operational improvement in client facilities. Develop and recommend process control strategies, flowsheets, and design modifications to improve recovery, product quality, and overall plant performance. Support clients in troubleshooting operational challenges through data-driven analysis, test work interpretation, and on-site process assessments. Ensure all engineering designs and recommendations comply with applicable safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams (mechanical, electrical, environmental, project management) to deliver integrated engineering solutions. Provide technical inputs for proposals, bids, and presentations, contributing to business development and client relationship management. Stay abreast of emerging technologies, process modelling tools, and automation solutions to drive continuous improvement and innovation in client engagements. Qualifications B.E./B.Tech/M.Tech in Metallurgical Engineering, Mineral Processing, or Chemical Engineering (or equivalent). Around 15 years of progressive experience in the mineral processing industry, with exposure to plant operations, process design, and technical sales/marketing. Proven expertise in process optimization, flowsheet development, and metallurgical performance evaluation. Strong understanding of beneficiation techniques — crushing, grinding, classification, flotation, gravity separation, magnetic separation, leaching, etc. Familiarity with process simulation and modelling software (e.g., METSIM, JKSimMet, HSC Chemistry, or equivalent). Excellent analytical, communication, and client-facing skills, with the ability to present technical concepts to both engineering and commercial audiences. Strong commitment to safety, sustainability, and regulatory compliance in engineering design and recommendations. Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously and lead cross-functional project teams. Skills: Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical customers. Strong negotiation and presentation skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Travel: Ability to travel domestically and internationally for customer meetings, site visits, and industry events.
