Role : Solaris admin with Azure infra Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Solaris Administrator with expertise in managing Azure cloud infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in Solaris OS administration, troubleshooting, and performance tuning, along with a strong understanding of Azure services, , and hybrid cloud environments. Key Responsibilities: 7-9 years of IT experience 5+ years of experience in Solaris Administration (versions 10/11). Administer and maintain Solaris-based systems, ensuring high availability and performance. Perform patching, upgrades, and security hardening on Solaris servers. Troubleshoot Solaris system issues, including kernel tuning and performance optimization. Implement backup and disaster recovery strategies for Solaris workloads. Work with Azure cloud services, including VM provisioning, networking, storage, and security. Monitor system performance and proactively resolve issues to ensure optimal uptime. Document system configurations, procedures, and best practices. Strong knowledge of ZFS, LDOMs, Zones, and Jumpstart/AI provisioning. Experience in Azure infrastructure (VMs, networking, storage, security). Familiarity with hybrid cloud environments and cloud migration strategies. Hands-on experience with automation tools (Ansible, Terraform, or PowerShell). Good understanding of Linux (RHEL, CentOS, or Ubuntu) is a plus. Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Knowledge of IT security policies and compliance standards. Experience in backup solutions and disaster recovery planning. Excellent communication and documentation skills.
