Role Overview: You will be joining GRL as a full-time Software Testing and Validation Engineer/Lead in Bangalore, India. GRL is a world leader in testing and related engineering services, catering to hardware product developers across various industries. Your role will involve working independently or as part of a team to develop test methodologies, scenarios, and data collection plans to ensure test adequacy. Key Responsibilities: - Lead and manage the entire test lifecycle including planning, execution, analysis, and reporting for assigned software projects. - Mentor and guide junior Test Engineers, providing technical direction, training, and performance feedback. - Design and implement comprehensive test plans, scenarios, and data collection strategies. - Develop and maintain manual and automated test cases/scripts for functional, regression, and integration testing. - Utilize tools such as Selenium, Katalon, and programming languages like Java or Python for test automation. - Execute test cases (manual and automated), report issues, and collaborate with development teams to drive resolutions. - Document and communicate test architecture, automation framework components, test cases, and results effectively across cross-functional teams. - Analyze test results, track key quality metrics, and maintain high testing standards throughout the development lifecycle. - Support root cause analysis of defects and contribute to ongoing process improvements to enhance test efficiency and defect prevention. - Prepare and present clear, concise, and actionable test reports for technical and business stakeholders. - Monitor test activities for compliance with internal quality systems and regulatory requirements where applicable. Qualifications: - 3 to 5 years of experience in software testing and validation. - Strong understanding of manual and automation testing methodologies. - Hands-on experience with automation tools such as Selenium, Katalon, and scripting in Java or Python. - Experience in hardware interface protocol testing such as USB, HDMI, DisplayPort, or Qi wireless power is a strong plus. - Familiarity with protocol validation in areas like Power Delivery or Wireless Power Consortium (Qi) specifications. - Prior experience in working with lab equipment for protocol or interface validation is an added advantage. - Strong analytical and debugging skills with a keen attention to detail. - Excellent communication skills - written and verbal - to interact with cross-functional teams and document test results clearly. - Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
