Software Specialist (Java Developer)

As a Software Development Engineer at PTC, you will be part of a global team working on the design, implementation, and delivery of PTC's flagship PLM suite, Windchill, on a SaaS platform. Your role will involve developing highly secure and scalable software, providing technical leadership, and staying updated with emerging technologies relevant to Windchill. Key Responsibilities: - Design, develop, and maintain highly secure and scalable software solutions. - Participate in code reviews and quality assurance activities to ensure high-quality solutions. - Provide technical leadership and mentor junior team members. - Document technical design, code, and project artifacts. - Work towards achieving 100% automation. - Communicate effectively about the work done, rationale behind it, and its impact. - Stay up-to-date with emerging trends and technologies relevant to Windchill. Qualifications Required: - Bachelors/Masters degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or equivalent. - Proven experience as a Full Stack Developer in Java, J2EE, and SQL. - 4-6 years of experience in server-side programming in Java. - Passion for clean code, unit testing, and following coding best practices. - Excellent communication, interpersonal, problem-solving skills, and innovation capabilities. - Working knowledge of PLM software like Windchill is advantageous. - Exposure to CI/CD pipeline and GIT version control.
