Software Specialist (Devops)

As a DevOps Engineer at PTC, you will play a crucial role in leading the design, implementation, and optimization of our DevOps practices. Your primary focus will be on driving automation, scalability, and reliability across our infrastructure and CI/CD pipelines. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of development and operations, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence. Your responsibilities will include designing, implementing, and maintaining build automation for leading CAD software, as well as architecting and maintaining robust CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins. You will be tasked with implementing and maintaining monitoring, logging, and alerting systems such as Grafana, and leading incident response efforts along with post-mortem analysis to enhance system reliability. To qualify for this role, you should possess a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. Proficiency in scripting languages like Python and Bash, as well as in programming languages such as C/C++ or Java, is essential. Strong leadership and communication skills are key, along with the ability to collaborate effectively across functions. A background in software development would be advantageous for this position.
