Software Principal Engineer

Your responsibilities will include: - Contributing to the enhancement of software/storage environments - Understanding and interpreting design, functional, technical, and user documentation as necessary - Developing, evaluating, and implementing test strategies for software products and systems To excel in this role, we are seeking candidates with the following qualifications: Essential Requirements: - A minimum of 8 years of experience with a strong understanding of storage area/system components such as File Systems, NFS - Proficiency in working within Linux OS environments (RHEL, SuSe, Fedora, etc.) - Ability to independently conduct manual testing on storage products and applications, including creating and executing test plans and strategies - Proficient in Python programming and capable of independently debugging issues Desirable Requirements: - Comprehensive knowledge of backup/storage applications, Cloud Computing (AWS/Azure/GCP), Linux system internals, UNIX system API - Familiarity with Jira and Confluence applications, as well as Jenkins, Docker, and Kubernetes - Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment, leveraging diverse perspectives to drive innovation and success At Dell Technologies, we believe in the power of each individual to make a meaningful impact.
