Role Overview: Cisco Security Business Group (SBG) is seeking a dedicated engineering leader to join the Cloud Security group within SBG. This group focuses on developing cloud-delivered security solutions in a platform-centric approach. As a leader in this group, you will play a crucial role in building new cloud-delivered security services to protect organizations" web traffic and drive the technology strategy forward. Your impact will involve leading the engineering team, architecting complex features, resolving production issues, collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders, and fostering a culture of execution excellence and innovation. Key Responsibilities: - Lead the engineering team to develop new cloud-delivered security services for web traffic protection. - Architect and design solutions for complex features in the product. - Provide leadership during complex production issues for quick resolution. - Partner with cross-functional stakeholders to drive technology direction and facilitate key technical decisions. - Collaborate with multiple engineering groups within Cisco to deliver end-to-end solutions. - Work closely with other Product leads to shape product and technology strategy. - Establish a culture of execution excellence and innovation. - Build and mentor a team of talented and passionate leaders. Qualifications Required: - 12+ years of software development experience with a proven track record in technology strategy and product delivery. - 5+ years of experience in system design, development, and delivery of highly scalable SaaS products using AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure. - Strong technical expertise in cloud technologies and architectural patterns, including HTTP/HTTPS, Proxy, API services, Containerization, Micro-services, Application monitoring, and Elastic scaling. - Proficiency in agile and lean practices, DevOps, and iterative customer feedback-based development. - Sound technical depth to address complex problems in technical architecture and design. - Experience in programming languages such as C, C++, Java, Python, or Go. - Familiarity with automated deployment pipelines and DevOps standard processes. - Ability to map high-level requirements into actionable landmarks. - Excellent debugging and problem-solving skills for complex system issues.
