As a Senior Software Engineer on the Reporting Analytics team at Medallia, you will be responsible for delivering products that enable customers to access advanced analytics reports within the Medallia Experience Cloud platform. You will be an integral part of a full-stack, cross-functional team that focuses on building and maintaining core data analysis tools and APIs. Your main focus will be on backend engineering, where you will design and develop performant, scalable, and robust GraphQL APIs for Medallia's flagship product. Key Responsibilities: - Design, implement, and drive the technical roadmap for the Reporting Analytics team - Collaborate closely with other engineering teams to ensure seamless product deliveries and uninterrupted service - Mentor and coach junior engineers, and contribute to team growth through tech talks and presentations - Work in an agile environment with daily standups, code reviews, and research spikes - Take ownership of specific components and become a subject matter expert within the team - Ship scalable and robust software, maintain its performance, and continuously enhance its functionality Qualifications: Minimum Qualifications: - 5+ years of experience in software development - Proficiency in Java and experience building enterprise-grade, distributed systems - Strong understanding of REST and GraphQL APIs - Familiarity with software engineering fundamentals and SQL databases Preferred Qualifications: - BS/MS in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field - Agile process experience and ability to work in globally distributed teams - Background in statistical analysis and experience with NO-SQL distributed databases - Knowledge of Elasticsearch, Lucene, and experience with performance optimization tools - Experience in implementing automated testing platforms and unit tests - Analytical mindset and strong problem-solving skills - Focus on quality and ownership mentality in all tasks This role is based remotely in Pune, and candidates are required to reside within the Pune metropolitan area.
