Salesforce, the leading AI CRM company, is seeking a Principal/Lead Distributed Systems Engineer to join the Hyperforce Networking team. This team focuses on developing mission-critical network software services that ensure secure connectivity within Salesforce and with its external customers. The role involves designing and implementing critical services to transform the software stack, creating a highly reliable, scalable, and feature-rich delivery platform. As a successful candidate, you should have a passion for service ownership, be a complex problem solver, and have experience building large-scale distributed systems in cloud environments. Familiarity with public cloud services like AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud Platform is essential, along with strong knowledge of network technologies such as BGP, IPSec, TCP/IP, DNS, and TLS. Experience with Scrum or other agile development methodologies, code quality focus, and operational design of resilient distributed systems are key attributes. Requirements for this role include technical proficiency in Golang, Python, or C/C++ in a Linux/UNIX data center environment, as well as experience with live site production service ownership and agile development methodologies.
