Software Engineer Trainee

We are looking for a talented Software Engineer to become a part of our dynamic team. As a Software Engineer trainee, your day-to-day tasks will involve designing, developing, and maintaining software applications, as well as actively participating in all stages of the software development lifecycle. Based in Trivandrum, the ideal candidate for this position should have 0 to 2 years of experience. A Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Computer Science or a related field is required. Proficiency in Java Programming is a must, along with familiarity with languages like Java, C++, or other relevant programming languages, and associated tool suites. Knowledge of version control systems such as Git, subversion, etc., is essential for efficient code management. You should also have a good understanding of relational databases, SQL, and ORM technologies like JPA2, Hibernate, to effectively manipulate and manage data. Strong written and verbal communication skills are crucial for conveying technical concepts clearly. Excellent problem-solving abilities are needed to identify and resolve issues efficiently. Additionally, good interpersonal and customer care skills are important for effective interaction with users and stakeholders. Hands-on experience with Windows/Linux/Mac OS environments is required to operate and troubleshoot software across platforms. The ability to diagnose and troubleshoot basic technical issues is essential to ensure the smooth operation of software applications. Familiarity with technologies such as Spring Boot, Thymeleaf/React Js/Angular, JQuery/Javascript, JPA, MySQL, PostgreSQL is advantageous for leveraging relevant tools in software development. Your responsibilities will include developing well-designed, testable code for software applications, documenting and maintaining software functionality, troubleshooting and upgrading existing systems, deploying programs, and evaluating user feedback for continuous improvement of software solutions. Ensuring compliance with project plans and industry/quality standards, keeping software updated with the latest features, integrating software components, providing software application support, analyzing software application functionality, suggesting improvements, and ensuring effective front-end and back-end functionality of applications are also part of your role. Collaboration with the software development team, internal users, and clients, managing code migration across environments, identifying root causes of application errors, escalating serious concerns, and providing front-end support are essential aspects of this position.
