Cisco Secure Firewall (CSF) is the flagship product of the Security Business Group (SBG), integrating aware-willing ASA Firewall services and the world-renowned IPS engine SNORT into a high-performance appliance. In this role, you will be involved in design discussions, developing and executing test plans to verify feature functionality, scale, and performance to uphold the quality of our products. You will play a crucial role in discovering defects, driving resolutions in collaboration with cross-functional teams, and promoting code quality through a test-driven approach. Continual improvement of test plans and automation to enhance test efficacy, active participation in issue repro and verification of customer issues, and building automated test suites using Python, Java, or similar languages are key responsibilities. The ideal candidate is self-motivated, collaborative, and passionate about testing and quality assurance. You should possess experience in software testing methodologies, creating test plans, defect identification, and documentation. A proven track record of fostering positive relationships with cross-functional teams and vendors, along with excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective interaction and detailed product documentation, is essential. Qualifications & Skills: - Minimum four years of software QA experience with an MSEE/CS or five years of QA experience with a BSEE/CS or related technical degree or equivalent. - Experience in testing VPN clients, firewalls, or other network/application security products. - Proficiency in manual testing and automation tools. - Experience in building complex topologies and handling customer issues. - Familiarity with DevOps, continuous integration, and continuous delivery tools.
