Software Engineer / Specialist / TL - IMS DB, Cobol (2-9 Yr)

You will be responsible for the design, development, modification, debug, and maintenance of software systems. Your job will involve: - Designing, developing, modifying, debugging, and maintaining software code based on functional, non-functional, and technical design specifications. - Following Amdocs software engineering standards, applicable software development methodology, and release processes to ensure code is maintainable, scalable, and supportable. You will also demo the software products to stakeholders. - Investigating issues by reviewing/debugging code, providing fixes and workarounds, and reviewing changes for operability to maintain existing software solutions. - Working within a team, collaborating, and adding value through participation in peer code reviews, providing comments and suggestions, and working with cross-functional teams to achieve goals. - Assuming technical accountability for your specific work products within an application and providing technical support during solution design for new requirements. - Actively looking for innovation, continuous improvement, and efficiency in all assigned tasks. Qualifications required for this role: - Bachelor's degree in Science/IT/Computer Science or equivalent. - Professional & Relevant Experience: 2+ years on Mainframe technologies like COBOL, JCL, IMS DB. - Good to have - IMS DC. - Experience in maintenance, support & development in Mainframe Technologies. - Willingness to work in Shifts (1-10 or 3-12, with flexibility as per business needs). - Providing production support (resolving job abends) for customer applications for any issue.
