Role Description

This is a remote contract role for a Software Engineer - Scala at Micromonic. The Software Engineer will be responsible for back-end web development, software development, and programming tasks using Scala. They will also be involved in object-oriented programming (OOP) to create high-quality AI solutions.

Qualifications

• Computer Science, Software Development, and Programming skills
• Back-End Web Development knowledge
• Experience in Object-Oriented Programming (OOP)
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
• Ability to work independently and remotely
• Scala (with a focus on the functional programming paradigm)
• JUnit, Mockito, Scalatest (Embedded Cassandra)
• In depth knowledge of microservices architecture.
• Basic understanding of Apache Spark
• Familiarity using version control tools like Git, Subversion etc. and IDEs like Android Studio, VS Code etc.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
