Role Description This is a remote contract role for a Software Engineer - Scala at Micromonic. The Software Engineer will be responsible for back-end web development, software development, and programming tasks using Scala. They will also be involved in object-oriented programming (OOP) to create high-quality AI solutions. Qualifications Computer Science, Software Development, and Programming skills Back-End Web Development knowledge Experience in Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills Ability to work independently and remotely Scala (with a focus on the functional programming paradigm) JUnit, Mockito, Scalatest (Embedded Cassandra) In depth knowledge of microservices architecture. Basic understanding of Apache Spark Familiarity using version control tools like Git, Subversion etc. and IDEs like Android Studio, VS Code etc. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
