Software Engineer Routing Protocols

Role Overview: You will be part of the DSE Platform Independent Common (PI-Common) group responsible for driving the PI software that operates across Cisco's flagship routers and switches. Your role involves crafting and developing high-performance system software for various Cisco Platforms, including Enterprise Switching & Routers, Data Center Switches, and Service Provider Routing Platforms. Key Responsibilities: - Have 1+ years of relevant experience in internet working technologies and applications. - Demonstrate good experience in developing software in C under a multi-threaded environment with excellent problem-solving skills. - Utilize hands-on experience with Data Structures, Operating Systems, and Data Networking fundamentals. - Gain exposure to developing software for large/complex network devices, including routing & switching systems. - Preferably have experience in developing features in the Multicast area. - Showcase expertise in developing software for complex multi-threaded real-time systems. - Experience in Cisco IOS-XE would be a plus. - Possess good hands-on implementation experience with one or more of the following: RTOS Internals, High Availability, IPC, Memory management, Distributed communications Infrastructure, Serviceability, Linux, Containers, Virtualization. - Utilize excellent written and verbal communication skills to communicate optimally across all groups in the organization. - Be willing to work in teams spanning geographies and physical boundaries. - Be a quick learner who is self-driven and has a passion to excel. Qualifications Required: - Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related majors with 1+ years of experience.
