Software Engineer Lead Backend Development

You will be a part of the QCT Product and Software Tools team at Qualcomm, responsible for developing robust software platform tools that cater to a global ecosystem. Your work will involve a variety of technologies, from embedded systems to cloud-based solutions, to ensure seamless workflows and key functionalities across Qualcomms product portfolio. You will be dedicated to building scalable, secure, and forward-thinking engineering solutions that drive innovation and efficiency. **Key Responsibilities:** - Design, develop, and maintain RESTful APIs using .NET or Java. - Demonstrate proficiency with different types of databases. - Write optimized, scalable, and high-performance backend code. - Collaborate with QA teams to ensure comprehensive test coverage and software reliability. - Integrate data from various backend services and databases. - Create and maintain detailed software documentation. - Deliver high-quality work within project timelines. - Mentor junior team members and conduct knowledge-sharing sessions and presentations. **Minimum Qualifications:** - Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, or a related technical field. **Preferred Qualifications:** - 4+ years of overall software development experience. - 2+ years of experience with backend technologies such as Java, C#, ASP.NET, .NET Core, Entity Framework, and Docker. - 2+ years of experience with SQL or other database management systems. - 2+ years of experience with Spring Boot and REST API development; familiarity with protocols like socket or Thrift APIs is a plus. - 2+ years of experience with version control systems such as Git or Perforce.
