Software Engineer in Test

As an Automation Expert at Publicis Sapient, you will be crucial in ensuring quick turnaround and increased test coverage through automation testing across projects. You will develop and enforce a robust Automated Software QE strategy, practices, and processes to maintain consistent quality in Software Applications production. Collaborating with project, business, and QE teams, you will create detailed automated scripts and test frameworks to enhance system effectiveness and efficiency. Your strategic thinking and planning skills will provide leadership and expertise throughout the QA lifecycle in an agile working environment. - Develop and enforce a robust Automated Software QE strategy, practices, and processes - Collaborate with project, business, and QE teams to develop detailed automated scripts and test frameworks - Ensure overall quality of the project through effective QE leadership and management - Build, lead, and manage a functional and technical QE team with quality ownership - Estimate for low and medium complexity applications using relevant techniques - Guide a small team ranging from 2-5 people during the complete SDLC cycle - Define/enhance defect documentation and TAR lifecycle process independently - Enforce/adhere to defect or other processes within the team - Mentor or coach at least one person - Define Automation Test strategy and test plan for low and medium complexity applications - Maintain and report test coverage matrix - Identify device coverage for the application - Devise regression testing approach Qualification Required: - 4-9 years of experience - Experience with QE for distributed, highly scalable systems - Strong programming skills in Java, Groovy, or JavaScript - Hands-on experience with GUI-based test automation tools for desktop and/or mobile automation - Proficient in writing SQL queries - Familiarity with test automation tool selection process and test approach - Experience in designing and developing automation frameworks using best industry practices - Hands-on experience with API testing tools like RestAssured, SOAP UI, NodeJS - Knowledge of BDD, TDD methodologies, and tools like Cucumber, TestNG, Junit - Experience in CI/CD, test pipeline creation, and working with tools like Maven, Gradle, Git - Domain knowledge in areas like retail banking, automobile, insurance, etc. - Exposure to automation tools for mobile applications and non-functional testing - Ability to set up test environment for execution on cloud environments - Proficiency in creating test automation frameworks and maintaining them - Experience in modern agile practices such as BDD/Cucumber, DevOps - Knowledge of service virtualization and tools like CA Lisa - Familiarity with test management tools like Xray & Zephyr - Understanding of software design patterns like Builder, Factory, Singleton, Faade - Excellent communication skills - Ability to adapt to new technologies/processes and work independently under pressure - Efficient decision-making and client management skills (Note: Education required is a full-time Bachelors/Masters engineering degree),
