Software Engineer III, Pixel Watch System Software

**Job Description** As a software engineer at Google, you will work on developing and optimizing system software for the next-generation Pixel Watch devices. You will have the opportunity to collaborate with cross-functional teams and silicon vendors to deliver Board Support Package (BSP), Kernel, and Storage solutions for both next-generation and legacy products. **Responsibilities** - Design, develop, and support Pixel Watch system software engineering efficiency tools and automation, contributing to BSP/Kernel/Storage, new board/IP bring-up, thermal, Haptics, and working with silicon vendor teams. - Drive extreme focus on power, performance, and battery life to improve overall software quality and stability, gaining opportunities to work across the Android/Wear stack. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to propose and deliver new changes and features to WearOS/Android, enabling and enhancing features on Pixel Watches. **Qualifications** - Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience. - 2 years of experience with software development in C / C++. - 2 years of experience working with Android domain, embedded processors, or Linux kernel, drivers, BSP. - Experience in code and system health, diagnosis and resolution, and software test engineering. **Preferred Qualifications** - Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or related technical field. - 5 years of experience working with Android domain, embedded processors, Linux kernel, drivers, Board Support Package (BSP). - Knowledge of one or more of the following such as Microcontrollers, SoC, device drivers, hardware bringup, power management, ARM processors, file systems, bootloaders, firmware, or hardware/software integration. - Experience in performance analysis and optimization, particularly in the embedded systems domain. - Experience with Linux/Android/WearOS/low-level silicon/hardware interactions.,
