Job Description

Role Overview: As part of the Secure Cloud Expansion team at Stripe, you will be responsible for designing and building solutions to advance Stripes infrastructure security beyond state of the art. Your main focus will be on expanding Stripes cloud footprint across various clouds and services by implementing guardrails and controls that support security invariants and enforce security principles. You will work with a variety of programming languages such as Go, Java, Ruby, and Python to execute networking and cloud security initiatives, along with maintaining CI tooling for platform-related configuration. It will be crucial for you to ensure all cloud infrastructure is defined in code and strict change management processes are in place. Key Responsibilities: - Design and build solutions to advance Stripes infrastructure security and expand cloud footprint - Implement guardrails and controls to support security invariants and enforce security principles - Work with Go, Java, Ruby, and Python to execute networking and cloud security initiatives - Maintain CI tooling for platform-related configuration - Define all cloud infrastructure in code and implement strict change management processes Qualifications Required: - Empathy, strong communication skills, and a deep respect for collaboration - A learning mindset and at least 6 years of software engineering experience in a high-stakes production environment - Ability to write high-quality code in a major programming language and drive innovation within the team - Experience with infrastructure on AWS, Azure, or GCP - Preferred: Experience in threat modeling of software or infrastructure in cloud native environments, usage of security monitoring tools, and experience in a multi-cloud environment Please note that the in-office expectations for Stripes at Stripe vary depending on location, team, and role. It is important to strike a balance between in-person collaboration and flexibility while supporting users and workflows effectively.,
