Software Engineer, Client Integration

As a Software Engineer at Arkose Labs, you will be an integral member of the Client Integrations team, responsible for developing key systems used both internally and externally. Your primary focus will be on frontend development of client-side JavaScript, ensuring it is performant and scalable across various browsers and devices. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to work on backend services written in Go, supporting client-side code with robust APIs. **Role Overview:** - Design, test, and implement features for client-side JavaScript embedded into millions of requests daily - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to build innovative features combating fraud and bots - Develop cutting-edge fingerprinting and device identification methods - Take ownership of challenging projects, breaking them down into manageable components - Maintain system health and integrity through code reviews, comprehensive tests, and reducing technical debt - Contribute to technical discussions and quarterly planning - Share learnings with the team through documentation and knowledge sharing **Key Responsibilities:** - 2-4 years of relevant software engineering experience - Proficiency in JavaScript and developing client-side code for various browsers and devices - Experience with backend languages, specifically Go - Proficiency in DOM manipulation, event handling, and Web APIs - Familiarity with modern frontend frameworks and libraries, CDNs, cloud platforms (AWS and Azure), NoSQL databases, and caching solutions - Cross-browser compatibility testing experience - Strong communication skills and ability to provide technical guidance - Understanding of code quality impact and writing appropriate automated tests **Qualifications Required:** - Experience mentoring junior developers - Comfortable participating in an equitable team on-call roster - Nice to have: experience with CDN edge functions, DynamoDB, ScyllaDB, Redis, and Memcached, testing frameworks, web accessibility standards, Agile practices, Kubernetes deployments, CI/CD pipelines, monitoring tools, and technical architecture discussions Arkose Labs offers a collaborative ecosystem where you will actively partner with global enterprise giants and tackle demanding technical challenges.
