Description
As a Software Engineer (C++) for the SIMULIA brand, you will be responsible for designing and developing software to deliver World Class Apps, Services, and Technologies that enhance user experiences and provide value to end-users. Your role will involve continuously improving deliveries based on user feedback and usage data. Your responsibilities will include building a deep understanding of customer workflows and requirements, as well as the capabilities and values of the 3DEXPERIENCE platform. Using this knowledge, you will develop software that offers best-in-class user experiences, define, design, and implement new functionality aligned with customer needs, and create prototypes and proof of concept implementations to validate project proposals. Collaboration will be key in this role, as you will work with User Experience teams to design a clean and consistent user interface, Software Architects to deliver modular software components, and Quality Assurance teams to ensure software quality. You will also be involved in internal software documentation and maintaining unit, integration, and acceptance tests. To qualify for this position, you should have a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Engineering, along with 3-10 years of experience in software development. Proficiency in object-oriented programming languages such as C++ and Python is essential, as well as experience in developing customer requirements into technology and deployment plans. Experience in Agile/Scrum development environments, developing cross-platform applications, and strong analytical and problem-solving skills are also required. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a diverse team, and a willingness to adapt to changing technologies and learn new skills quickly are important attributes for this role. Experience with large-scale software architecture, simulation software development, COM/CORBA, JavaScript, Test-Driven Development (TDD) practices, and Dassault Systems R&D Methods & Means will be beneficial. As a member of the 3DEXPERIENCE team, you will collaborate with a diverse, distributed group of multi-disciplinary teams to develop new 3DEXPERIENCE applications for electromagnetic simulation. These applications will integrate solver technology from CST Studio Suite, simulation setup, and product lifecycle capabilities on the 3DEXPERIENCE platform, providing powerful and easy-to-use simulation capabilities to designers and electromagnetics specialists.
