Job Description

Role Overview: You will be part of the Data Center Networking solutions team at Cisco, focusing on Software Defined Networking to develop products that ensure ultra-reliable performance and scalable infrastructure for modern Data Center networking needs. The solutions provided are designed to simplify data center/cloud infrastructure, automate the network, enhance security, and facilitate the transition to cloud or multicloud environments. Your role will involve contributing to the design, development, and operation of a comprehensive data fabric that enables data-driven decision-making and high-impact product features across Cisco. Key Responsibilities: - Design and develop sophisticated and robust logic and backend infrastructure to support large-scale data and compute workflows. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design solutions meeting performance, reliability, and security requirements. - Contribute to the automation and optimization of engineering processes. - Participate in the full software development lifecycle, including ideation, design, deployment, and monitoring. - Assist in shaping engineering standards, technical architecture, and operational best practices within the team. Qualification Required: - Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science or a related field, with 5-6 years of relevant industry experience. - Minimum 5 years of experience in full software development lifecycle, including design, development, and testing with coding standards. - Proficiency in programming in C++, OS internals (such as multi-threading, file systems, process management, synchronization, etc.). - 5+ years of experience working in Linux environments with strong debugging skills. - Exposure to Git source control management and build processes. - Familiarity with distributed systems, data center fabric solutions, and cloud architecture and services. - Knowledge of Golang and Python languages is a plus.
