Role Overview: You are a skilled and motivated Software Engineer Backend (Python) joining the growing engineering team at vEngageai. Your primary responsibility will be to develop robust, scalable, and secure backend services. Working closely with cross-functional teams, you will design, implement, and optimize systems supporting critical product functionality. This role presents an opportunity for technical growth while contributing to impactful projects in a collaborative and fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities: - Backend Development: Design, develop, and maintain clean and efficient server-side code using Python. - API Development: Build and maintain RESTful APIs for internal and external use. - Database Management: Design and optimize database schemas (SQL and NoSQL), ensuring data integrity and performance. - Code Quality: Write reusable, testable, and efficient code; participate in peer code reviews. - Performance Optimization: Identify bottlenecks and bugs, and devise solutions to maintain performance and scalability. - Collaboration: Work closely with frontend developers, QA, DevOps, and product teams to deliver integrated features. - Version Control & CI/CD: Collaborate using Git-based workflows and contribute to continuous integration pipelines. Qualifications Required: - 5-7 years of hands-on experience with Python in a backend development role. - Experience with frameworks such as Django, Flask, or FastAPI. - Proficiency in working with relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL) and basic understanding of NoSQL solutions. - Solid understanding of RESTful API design and integration. - Experience with Docker and basic knowledge of containerized development workflows. - Familiarity with version control systems like Git and collaborative development practices. - Good understanding of data structures, algorithms, and software design principles. - Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills.
