Software Engineer 2 C, Distributed File Systems

As a Software Engineer at PowerScale, you will play a key role in the re-architecture of the stack to cater to the unique demands of the consumer market in the GenAI era. Your work will involve designing, developing, and delivering solutions to distributed computing problems for scale-out OneFS filesystem and data services. You will collaborate with your team to develop features for OneFS that address scale, performance, and GenAI readiness of PowerScale. Key Responsibilities: - Design, develop, and deliver solutions to distributed computing problems for scale-out OneFS filesystem and data services - Develop features for OneFS to address scale, performance, and GenAI readiness of PowerScale - Collaborate within and outside of your scrum team during the entire software development cycle to ensure optimized solutions with the highest quality Qualifications Required: - Bachelors in Computer Science or related technical field with 2+ yrs of relevant work experience in Distributed Software Systems, Operating Systems, File Systems, or Embedded Software - Experience in developing system software using C programming - Experienced in Advanced Data Structures, Memory Management, Locking, Design Patterns, Multithreading, and Parallel Programming - Solid understanding of Algorithms, Concurrency Models, Design Patterns, and Asynchronous Concepts - Knowledge of UNIX/Linux/ POSIX based systems software development, storage networking protocols, and architectures Join Dell Technologies to be a part of a team that believes in the power of making an impact.
