Software Development Engineering in Test (SDET)

Role Overview: You will play a critical role in testing applications in an automated fashion for Lab49 clients. As part of a collaborative and innovative project team, you will have direct client-facing interactions and the opportunity to create automated testing capabilities for applications that solve business problems and enhance performance for the clients. Key Responsibilities: - Design and build advanced testing capabilities for applications across platforms, understanding products from both technical and business perspectives - Communicate with leadership, product owners, technologists, and users to create working testing software based on business and technical priorities - Break down complex problems into elegant solutions using Cucumber and other automation tools like Perfecto and Selenium - Work with data sources and APIs to build a solid Test Data Management Strategy and utilities - Assist development teams in improving testing efficiency and identifying non-compliance with requirements, including edge cases, usability, and general reliability - Collaborate with development engineers to track down defects and enable shift left test strategies - Actively contribute to improving software before distribution to Lab49 clients - Advocate test-driven development and deliver high-quality testing capabilities Qualification Required: - 7-9 years of hands-on experience - Proven experience in software-based automated testing - Familiarity with Cucumber, Selenium, Playwright, and Perfecto (or similar tools) - Background in Computer Science or related field or equivalent experience - Experience working with data via REST and JSON - Proficiency in working within an Agile environment - Knowledge of the general development landscape, architectures, trends, and emerging technologies Additional Details: Join a team of experts at Lab49 who are pushing the boundaries of financial services products.
