As a Senior Backend Engineer at Vajro, you will play a crucial role in designing and developing the infrastructure that supports leading direct-to-consumer (DTC) and retail brands in creating impactful mobile experiences. You will be responsible for architecting and building the core systems that power our platform, contributing to the evolution of our technology stack. Your responsibilities will include building high-performance backend services using Java 17+ and Spring Boot to handle millions of API requests daily. You will develop push notification systems, community engagement features, and mobile-optimized API endpoints, while implementing advanced caching techniques and performance optimizations to maintain global response times under 200ms. Additionally, you will create robust data processing pipelines for customer analytics, engagement tracking, and business intelligence, as well as personalized engines to deliver tailored experiences to end-users. In terms of integration and API ecosystem, you will design developer-friendly APIs that facilitate seamless integrations with major e-commerce platforms such as Shopify, WooCommerce, and BigCommerce. You will build webhook systems, data synchronization services, and third-party connector frameworks, while ensuring the security and integrity of our platform and customer data through authentication, rate limiting, and monitoring systems. The ideal candidate for this role should have 8-10 years of backend development experience with a focus on building and scaling SaaS systems. You should possess deep expertise in Java (JDK 17+), Spring Boot, and JVM optimization, along with experience in production system ownership, microservices architecture, and multi-tenant platforms. Proficiency in database technologies (SQL and NoSQL), container orchestration (Docker and Kubernetes), CI/CD pipelines, observability tools, and security practices is also required.
