As an SDE III at Get My Parking, you will lead the design, development, and deployment of cutting-edge solutions for the platform. Your role involves making key technical decisions, collaborating with a team of skilled engineers, and working cross-functionally with product, design, and data teams to drive complex projects from concept to production. Your responsibilities will include owning end-to-end system architecture and design, conducting high-level design and code reviews, promoting best coding practices and design patterns, ensuring systems are designed for observability and scalability, and adopting a metrics-driven decision-making mindset to track team outcomes and achievements. You will also be responsible for writing high-quality, scalable code, developing robust APIs and system modules, optimizing systems for performance and reliability, collaborating with various teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions, participating in sprint planning and project estimation, staying updated on emerging technologies, suggesting new tools and frameworks for development improvement, and contributing to internal tech knowledge sessions. The minimum qualifications for this role include having 7+ years of software development experience, a BS/MS in Computer Science or related field, expertise in Java and related frameworks, experience in system design for scalable systems, strong understanding of algorithms and data structures, and effective communication skills. Preferred qualifications include experience at a high growth product company, familiarity with cloud platforms, proficiency in distributed systems and microservices architecture, a track record of leading teams or projects from concept to production, and contributions to open-source projects or a portfolio demonstrating coding excellence.
