We are seeking an exceptional Software Testing Architect to spearhead the technical evolution of our testing groups, comprising two functional testing teams and one performance / scalability testing team. This role is pivotal in our mission to revolutionize testing methodologies, moving away from legacy UI-centric approaches towards API-based functional testing, and performance testing in production, heavily leveraging AI to build, maintain, and execute test suites. This individual will own the technical strategy for our patient accounting testing teams.

Responsibilities:
- Provide technical leadership and guidance to the functional and performance testing teams, consisting of 35 skilled professionals.
- Design and architect the testing framework and infrastructure required to support API-driven functional testing, ensuring a seamless transition from legacy UI testing.
- Develop a comprehensive technical strategy for implementing Chaos Engineering practices, enabling the teams to conduct controlled chaos testing and assess system behavior under various failure scenarios.
- Identify strategies to leverage AI to generate, maintain, and execute test suites.
- Research and recommend cutting-edge tools, technologies, and industry trends to enhance testing effectiveness, efficiency, and scalability.
- Define and establish best practices for test automation, performance monitoring, and failure analysis, ensuring that the teams adopt industry-leading standards.
- Collaborate closely with the Director of Software Testing to align technical strategies with overall testing goals and organizational objectives.
- Mentor and coach team members on advanced testing techniques, fostering a culture of continuous learning and technical excellence.
- Stay abreast of emerging testing methodologies and contribute to the organizations technical roadmap.
Requirements:
- A minimum of 8 years of experience in software testing, with a strong emphasis on technical leadership and architecture.
- Experience leveraging AI to build, maintain, and execute automated test suites.
- Proficiency in API testing methodologies, automation frameworks (e.g., Selenium, Cypress), and performance testing tools (e.g., JMeter, Gatling).
- Practical experience in implementing Chaos Engineering principles and designing controlled chaos experiments.
- Excellent programming skills, preferably in multiple languages, with the ability to write and review code for test automation.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and a data-driven mindset for optimizing testing processes.
- Effective communication skills to convey complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to work in a collaborative, agile environment, adapting to changing requirements and priorities.
