Description
As a Software Development Engineer 2 focusing on Design-First Engineering for Native Android applications, you will have the opportunity to work on various aspects of app development to create a seamless and delightful user experience. Your responsibilities will include collaborating closely with designers to implement smooth animations, micro-interactions, and transitions that bring interfaces to life. You will contribute to enhancing the app experience by optimizing loading states, gestures, and touch interactions to ensure a fast, fluid, and intuitive user journey. Continuously refining UI flows based on feedback and user-centered design principles will be a key aspect of your role. You will work with cross-functional teams to design scalable and robust solutions that adhere to best practices and promote code reusability. Writing clean, maintainable, and reusable code in Kotlin, implementing new features, enhancements, and bug fixes, and conducting comprehensive unit and integration tests will be part of your development tasks. Identifying performance bottlenecks and optimizing Android applications for speed, responsiveness, and resource efficiency will be crucial. You will also be responsible for creating technical documentation, collaborating with product managers and designers to translate requirements into technical solutions, and participating in Agile ceremonies to ensure efficient project delivery. The ideal candidate for this role should possess a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, along with at least 3 years of professional experience in Android application development. Proficiency in Kotlin programming language, a strong understanding of Android SDK and related tools, and experience with Android architecture components are essential. Additionally, having an eye for detail, a passion for building beautiful user interfaces, and knowledge of animations and motion design principles on Android will be valuable assets. Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, excellent communication, and collaboration abilities are important qualities we are looking for. The ability to adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment, along with knowledge of Kotlin Multiplatform, will be advantageous for this role.
