This includes planning, implementing, and maintaining the database systems to ensure optimal performance and availability. Key Responsibilities : Database Management : Manage and maintain the organization's database systems, including troubleshooting, performance tuning, and optimization. Database Design : Design and implement database schemas, tables, indexes, and views based on business requirements. Data Security : Implement and maintain database security measures to ensure data integrity and confidentiality, including user access controls, data encryption, and data masking. Backup and Recovery : Develop and implement backup and recovery strategies to ensure data availability and disaster recovery capabilities. Performance Monitoring : Monitor database performance and resource utilization, identifying and resolving performance bottlenecks to ensure optimal system performance. Database Upgrades and Patching : Plan and execute database upgrades and patching to ensure systems are up to date with the latest security patches and features. Documentation : Create and maintain documentation related to database configurations, processes, and procedures. Database Automation : Implement automation scripts and tools to streamline database administration tasks and improve efficiency. Collaboration : Collaborate with development teams, system administrators, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth integration of database systems with other infrastructure components. Troubleshooting : Investigate and resolve database-related issues, including database errors, performance problems, and data discrepancies.
