Brief Description about the role:

Jaguar Land Rover (JLR) are developing state of the art automated driving systems for worldwide deployment. As part of JLR ADAS team your task will be to support the development of the future ADAS system generation, which will see our vehicle progressing to full autonomous driving, referred to as an L4+ autonomous driving system, by 2030.

In order to fulfil this vision, JLR is working on specific software functionalities developments that aim to build in house software modules in order to maximise components reusability and robustness in the future landscape of autonomous driving.

Key Responsibilities of this role include:

• Undertake a variety of tasks and be able to work in a multiple disciplinary team, to mentor junior SW engineers and to clearly communicate findings through presentations and reporting
• Understand the requirements and come up with high-level design and decompose them in to detailed design.
• Mentoring junior software developers on design patterns, development best practices and DevOps trade-offs
• Ability to create a software detailed design and support their implementation in software and API interfaces required from internal teams
• Ability to develop complex software to satisfy design objectives
• Clearly understand API design for extensibility and portability of software across multiple implementations
• Excellent communication skills and liaise with the wider global teams within JLR

Previous Experience:

• A total 8+ years of experience with a minimum of 3+ years of experience in application design and development
• Should have worked in a complex automotive project owning the responsibility for low level design, implementation and validation
• Experienced in design and development of software solution in AUTOSAR
• Hands on experience in programming languages like C/C++
• Knowledge of Agile SW development process
• Hands on experience in developing systems based on various IPC mechanisms
• Good knowledge of Adaptive AUTOSAR based Communication and Diagnostic stack
• Experience in Automotive SW middleware platforms
• Strong understanding of software design and architectural patterns
• Good understanding on ISO26262
