Social Science Teacher (Experienced)

Job Summary:

We are seeking a passionate and knowledgeable Social Science Teacher to teach Grades 8 and 9, covering subjects such as History, Geography and Economics. The ideal candidate will inspire students with engaging lessons, foster critical thinking, and promote a deep understanding of social sciences.

Key Responsibilities:

✔ Plan and deliver dynamic, student-cantered lessons aligned with Samacheer curriculum.

✔ Teach key concepts in History, Geography, Civics, and Economics with real-world relevance.

✔ Use interactive teaching methods (discussions, projects, multimedia) to enhance learning.

✔ Assess student progress through assignments, tests, and projects, providing constructive feedback.

✔ Encourage analytical thinking, debate, and research skills.

✔ Maintain a positive, inclusive, and disciplined classroom environment.

✔ Collaborate with colleagues for interdisciplinary learning opportunities.

✔ Participate in school events, parent-teacher meetings, and professional development.

Qualifications & Skills:

✔ Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Social Science, History, Geography, or related field.

✔ B.Ed. or equivalent teaching certification preferred.

✔ Prior teaching experience (Grades 8–10) is preferred.
