Role Overview As Controller – Finance & Compliance , you will drive our financial strategy and ensure seamless regulatory compliance as we scale. This is a critical leadership role responsible for pricing, cash flow, compliance, and statutory filings, working directly with founders. Key Responsibilities Financial Planning & Analysis Draft and review product price points, COGS, and revenue projections Build and maintain robust financial models and cash flow forecasts Prepare and analyse MIS reports and financial statements Regularly review P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow statements Statutory & Tax Compliance Oversee GST, TDS, and income tax compliance and filings Ensure accurate and timely regulatory filings with MCA (MGT-14, PAS-3, PAS-4, etc.) Manage all statutory registers, Board Resolutions, and minutes Company Law & Corporate Compliance Handle issuance of shares, equity management, and record maintenance Ensure compliance with the Companies Act, cap table management, and class of shares Coordinate with external auditors, CS, and legal advisors Valuation & Reporting Support in reviewing valuation reports, cap tables, and investor documentation Prepare and present financial data to founders, investors, and stakeholders Process Control & Improvement Implement and monitor internal financial controls and SOPs Drive continuous improvement in financial and compliance processes Who You Are Qualified CA/CMA and/or CS (or Inter-qualified with relevant experience) 3–6 years in finance, accounting, and compliance, preferably with startup or SME exposure Strong understanding of GST, income tax, ROC/MCA filings, and company law compliance Proven skills in financial modelling, MIS, and statutory reporting Hands-on experience with Board Resolutions, share issuance, and related filings Excellent communication, analytical, and stakeholder management skills Our Culture & Expectations At Social Hardware, we offer a flexible working environment and believe in seeing both good and tough times together as a team.
