Snowflake & PLSQL - Software Engineer

Job Description: As a Software Engineer at Elevance Health, you will be responsible for designing and implementing data storage solutions using Snowflake's cloud infrastructure. Your primary focus will be on PLSQL development, including strong knowledge of Procedures, Exceptions, advanced SQL, Query tuning, and proficiency in Python programming. Additionally, you will be expected to optimize SQL queries for performance and scalability, as well as have a good understanding of Snowflake tools such as Snowpipe, Time travel, Streams & Tasks. You will play a key role in the development and unit testing process before handing over to QA, ensuring code quality and performance. Agile knowledge and excellent communication skills are highly valued in this role. Moreover, a good understanding of databases, specifically Oracle and Snowflake, is required. Familiarity with job scheduling tools like Control M for scheduling and debugging jobs is a plus. Having knowledge of the healthcare domain, especially in the Provider area, is an advantage. Experience with SDLC methodologies like Waterfall and Agile is preferred, along with the ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with global teams. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are essential for addressing production failures and data quality issues.
